Overview This Tarrytown mainstay specializes in Portuguese-Brazilian seafood fare. Start off with the Ipanema crab cake and move on to an elegant entr e, like the baked red snapper in Portuguese olive oil, or the seared Cape Cod sea scallops with dill-butter sauce. The sidewalk tables are great for people-watching in summer.
Caravela In my humble opinion, Caravela is the best in the lower hudson valley!... See all reviews

Caravela Every year, my husband and I have had the opportunity to pass through Tarrytown and each year we stop at Caravela. The service and the food is outstanding, to say the least. For an appetizer, I enjoyed the seared scallops with butternut puree -- what a treat to the palate. My husband devoured the spicy shrimp to the point that he wanted to lick the plate. For our main course, I had the jumbo shrimp cooked in garlic and my husband had the baked red snapper. Both were superb!! And, of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. I had a decadent mango and papaya tart while my husband devoured the cheesecake of the evening. If you want to get your money's worth, Caravela is the place to go. The food is outstanding, the service impeccible.... See all reviews
